FAQ's

  • How do I make a booking?
    You have various avenues available for securing your booking with us: either in person, over the phone, or through our website. Please be aware that guests making reservations must be 18 years of age or older. To finalize your booking, a deposit ranging from £20 to £50 per person (depending on the type of holiday you're booking) is necessary. It's important to note that these deposits are non-refundable.
  • What time can I check in and out?
    Check-in time for rooms begins at 3:00 pm on the arrival day, and check-out is required by 10:30 am on the departure day. For those seeking flexibility, we provide the option of early check-in starting from 1:00 pm and late check-out until 12:00 pm for an additional fee of £15 per room per upgrade.
  • Do you provide parking?
    Park House Hotel The Park House Hotel provides ample parking spaces at both the front and rear of the hotel available for £10.00 per day. Doric Hotel The Doric Hotel has a limited number of parking spaces available for free on a first come first served basis. Opposite the hotel, there is also a pay and display secure car park available for guests.
  • Do you allow pets?
    No pets are allowed except guide dogs and assistance dogs.
  • What entertainment is on at Waterside Hotels
    We offer live entertainment 7 nights a week, 365 days a year. Each night typically includes two live acts and two sessions of bingo. Please check out this months entertainment schedule: www.watersidehotels.co.uk/entertainment
  • Do you have accessible rooms for wheelchair users?
    Unfortunately, our hotels only have limited facilities for guests who are confined to a wheelchair or are unable to manage 6-10 stairs. This is due to the age and location of the properties. All reasonable and appropriate measures have been taken to assist access within the hotels. All hotels offered by Waterside Hotels do have at least two customer lifts, that are regularly maintained.
  • When does the Pre-Authorisation return to my bank account?
    The pre-authorisation is just a holding payment and never actually leaves your account. The pre-authorisation will be lifted from your account once all housekeeping and maintenance checks have been completed on the day of your departure. The release of the pre-authorisation varies depending on your chain of bank, but typically returns within 3-5 days. However, in some instances, banks can hold the payment for up to 28 days.
  • Can non-residents use the swimming facilities
    Unfortunately, all swimming pools and leisure facilities are strictly for residents only. This includes guests from both the Doric Hotel and Park House Hotel.
  • Can I cancel my booking?
    Should you decline cancellation insurance you are unable to change the dates of your holiday and the following cancellation charges apply: 28 days or more prior to departure: deposits only 27 - 14 days prior to departure: 50% of the total cost 13 - 7 days prior to departure: 65% of the total cost 6 - 1 days prior to departure: 80% of the total cost Day of departure or later: 100% of the total cost For full T&C's regarding cancelling your holiday and cancellation insurance, please see the Terms and Conditions on our website.
